Highland cattle have been famous throughout history for their distinctive look. They have big horns and long wavy coats that are coloured black, red , yellow, white, dun or brindle. They have an unusual double coat of hair with an outer coat of an oily nature making it waterproof. They have exceptional long horns stretching from the side of the head and usually turning upwards at the extremities.
