When a wallaby is alarmed or sense danger they thump the ground with their feet to warn others of the potential threat.

Characteristics:
Wallabies are small or mid-sized marsupial belonging to the kangaroo family. They have powerful hind legs and a strong tail mostly used for balance and support. The female wallaby has a pouch on her tummy in which to raise her young. She gives birth to a single baby known as a joey, whereby it crawls up into its mother’s pouch.
