The Eurasian Eagle owl is one of the largest living species of owl.  Their large powerful feet and strong flight makes them powerful hunters. They have distinctive ear tufts, mottled with darker blackish colouring and striking orange eyes. Eurasian Eagle owls are mostly nocturnal or active at night.  They spend their days roosting or resting in a safe perch.  They are silent hunters that use their keen eyesight and hearing to locate and capture prey.
